Women's track wins Bayou Classic
· The women's track and field team aced its first test of the outdoor track and field season, winning the Houston Hilton Plaza Bayou Classic last weekend at the Rice Track/Soccer Stadium.
Men's tennis drops a pair
· After amassing a perfect 17-0 record over the first 11 weeks of its season, the men's tennis team suffered two losses last week, falling to 43rd-ranked Oklahoma State University last Sunday and 41st-ranked University of Alabama Wednesday. The Owls will have a chance to redeem themselves on Tuesday, when they travel to Texas A&M University to take on the 25th-ranked Aggies.
Owls head to Texas Relays
· After a week at home competing on its own track, the men's track and field team hits the road to compete in the 77th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. The relays began Wednesday with the decathlon and the 10,000-meter run.
